An electromagnetic flowmeter is a flow instrument based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction to measure the volume of conductive fluids.
Since its main structure consists of two parts—a sensor and a converter—with no moving parts and no pressure loss, it is unaffected by fluid density, viscosity, temperature, and pressure. Featuring a wide measurement range and a large turndown ratio, it can measure highly corrosive media as well as dirty slurry media containing solid particles or fibers.
